The genocide in Rwanda di Alessia Fia

THE PEACE

July 19 th 1994: the Patriotic Rwanda Front, driven by Paul Kagame, takes the control of the territory, conquest Kigali, ghostly city where it remained around 50.000 people, and forms a new government of National unity, that doesn't have intention to discriminate anybody: the civil war is finished and the Genocide is ended.

The government abolishes the papers of ethnic identity, although the divisions are not easy to be faced and the tensions inside the country are still a lot: the 80% of the livestock have gone lost, the big part of farms and fields has been abandoned, the educational and sanitary systems have been devastated, while physicians, nurses, teachers have been killed. The residences and the churches turned into gigantic graves, meanwhile the government intends to give course to the accords of Arusha[S1] [E1][E2][F1][F2][I1][I2].

2003: Kagame[S1][E1][F1][I1] is elected president in the first free elections in Rwanda after 1994.
