Le générateur photovoltaïque
Contrairement au terme de "panneau solaire" souvent utilisé, l'appellation "générateur photovoltaïque" désigne bien ce dispositif qui permet de produire de l'électricité à partir de la lumière. L'utilisation du photovoltaïque va de la simple calculette dite "solaire" (alors qu'elle fonctionne aussi bien à la lumière d'une lampe de bureau) jusqu'à la centrale de plusieurs MW. Le développement de la production d'électricité photovoltaïque se développe beaucoup au niveau domestique en particulier dans les pays où les problèmes environnementaux sont pris au sérieux (Japon, Allemagne, Suisse...) et dans les pays en voie de développement.

Le photovoltaïque est une énergie renouvelable qui permet aux habitants raccordés ou pas au réseau électrique, de couvrir tout ou partie de leurs besoins domestiques en électricité .





Quels sont les principes de fonctionnement du photovoltaïque ?
Des panneaux solaires photovoltaïques convertissent directement la lumière du soleil en électricité. L'électricité produite est stockée dans une batterie d'accumulateurs. L'ensemble est piloté par une armoire électrique qui comprend un régulateur destiné à protéger la batterie contre les surcharges et les décharges importantes. Selon le type d'installation, l'électricité peut être délivrée en courant continu, en courant alternatif ou les deux simultanément, grâce à un onduleur.

L'énergie de la biomasse
Notre planète, la Terre, possède à sa surface une zone où, se développent les organismes vivants: la biosphère. Cette biosphère est elle même divisée en deux parties: la région autotrophe où vivent les plantes vertes et la région hétérotrophes, qui comprend les êtres qui vivent directement ou indirectement des plantes vertes. La biomasse correspond à la masse que constitue cette biosphère. Elle prend en compte à la fois les êtres encore vivants, mais également l'ensemble des produits organiques issus de ces êtres et n'étant pas encore décomposés en molécules élémentaires. Cette biomasse contient une énergie chimique qui, pour les plantes vertes, provient de la conversion de l'énergie lumineuse grâce à la photosynthèse.

Droga: paura o prevenzione?
Uno fra i molti aspetti che, a mio giudizio, hanno impedito o quantomeno reso poco efficace la prevenzione delle tossicodipendenze, è stato l'inganno del sintomo. Mi spiego meglio. Di solito un sintomo è un segnale, un campanello d'allarme che ci porta a riflettere su che cosa è accaduto, su che cosa c'è dietro. Se sentiamo la sirena, nessuno oggi da noi pensa ad un bombardamento aereo, ma si domanda se sarà l'ambulanza o i vigili del fuoco e che cosa sarà accaduto. E' proprio l'etimologia della parola "sintomo" che significa che qualcosa "accade insieme". Di norma un sintomo, per quanto grave, è sempre meno grave di quello che nasconde.

Beaucoup de gens s'imaginent que plus il y a de pales, plus l'éolienne « récolte » du vent. Mais non. C'est la surface balayée par l'hélice qui compte. Ainsi deux grandes pales feront tout à fait aussi bien que trois pales. Les gens trouvent les tripales plus « élégantes ».


Mais le plus étonnant, ce sont ces fameuses éoliennes à une seule pale, que fabrique avec succès une très sérieuse entreprise italienne. C'est même une entreprise française, ATV, qui construit ces ailes curieuses.

Il faut d'abord lever bien haut l'éolienne pour qu'elle puisse profiter au maximum des vents. Ceci nécessite une tour toujours élevée par rapport à la taille de l'éolienne proprement dite. Une petite éolienne va être installée à 18 mètres de hauteur, c'est-à-dire au moins aussi haut que le sommet des poteaux électriques. Une grande éolienne s'élèvera à plus de 30 mètres.

Lorsqu'il se met à souffler, le vent exerce un système de forces sur l'hélice qui, alors, se met à tourner. Les pales constituent ensemble le rotor.

Les éoliennes modernes sont dites à axe horizontal : leur axe de transmission est parallèle au sol.

Il existe d'autres sortes d'éoliennes, mais elles sont plus rares : ce sont les éoliennes à axe vertical, comme celle de Cap-Chat, au Québec.

Malgré son apparente légèreté, la nacelle contient tout l'équipement pour produire l'énergie. Pour les grandes éoliennes, elle pèse très lourd : plus de 30 tonnes. Sa taille est celle d'une mini-fourgonnette. Elle contient plusieurs pièces d'équipement dont la génératrice ou l'alternateur, qui est la plus importante.

Le fonctionnement de l’éolienne
Notre éolienne miniature : expérience

            En faisant tourner l’éolienne miniature grâce à un sèche cheveux, nous avons observé avec un oscilloscope une tension aux bornes du générateur. Il est donc possible d’obtenir un courant électrique avec la force du vent.

La tension aux bornes du générateur n’a pas l’allure sinusoïdale classique des tensions produites par les alternateurs industriels. Mais on peut tout de même remarquer une ressemblance avec une sinusoïde. En fait le générateur produit bel et bien une tension alternative mais elle est redressée à la sortie de celui-ci. En fait, pour réaliser cette maquette nous avons utilisé comme générateur un moteur à courant continu, c’est ce qui explique l’allure inhabituelle de la tension.

Le principe de l’éolienne est donc un principe simple. Mais les grands aérogénérateurs ont un mode de fonctionnement un peu plus complexe.
